This property is brand new to the holiday letting market for 2016.

Arthog is a small village very close to the holiday town of Barmouth and within walking distance of Fairbourne. It is a great holiday destination for walkers, bikers, families or people who just like relaxing and watching the view.

This cottage is a beautiful 2 bedroom, Grade 2 listed Victorian terrace with lots of lovely original features. These include the original sash windows and an open fire.

From the front door, there is a small step into the entrance area and then into the lounge which has an open fire with a fire guard. During the cooler months a fire starter pack is provided and further supplies can be bought at the local shop in Fairbourne. It also has a tv and dvd player. Heating is via electric storage heaters.

On your left is the cosy kitchen – diner. It is well equipped for your holiday cooking needs. It also has stunning views out to the hills and the Mawddach estuary.

Upstairs are two well appointed double bedrooms and a family bathroom with shower over the bath. Both bedrooms have stunning views over towards the estuary. Bedroom two has bunk beds. We have left a selection of kids toys, books, games and jigsaws for your enjoyment during your stay.

There is a small, secure, enclosed courtyard at the back and across the road there is a private garden which is perfect for relaxing and taking in the views. In the front garden there is a locked shed where you are welcome to store your outdoor gear or bikes.

If you are feeling more energetic then it is a 3 minute walk to the Mawddach estuary trail which runs from Dolgellau right through to Barmouth via the famous estuary bridge. It is perfect for everyone from families with their first bikes to more serious runners and bikers. Mountain bikers will enjoy visiting Coed y Brenin for some of the best mountain biking trails in the country.

There are some great opportunities for days out with Fairbourne steam railway only 10 minutes away, Barmouth and Dolgellau are within walking/biking distance or you can get the bus or train if you don’t fancy driving.

There are plenty of places to relax, drink coffee or eat good food in Fairbourne, Dolgellau or Barmouth.

Parking for the property is in a layby approximately 100m from the house but you can park outside for loading/unloading.

It is a non-smoking property.
