Walk 29 – High Level Super Walk– Cader & Diffwys
September 22 @ 6:45 am - 7:00 pm
Max. Height: 2,859ft
Total Height Ascended: 7,812ft
Leader: Ian Sadler
Not for the faint hearted, this walk is very demanding both mentally and physically,
For those requiring a challenge of physical and mental fitness and stamina rather than a sightseeing expedition this is our second and certainly more testing of our two Super Walks
Due to their nature, these walks they only take place if conditions are favourable.
They should only be undertaken by walkers experienced over long distances with an extremely good level of fitness.
To ensure being off the mountains at the expected time, the walk will leave at 7am prompt and there will be limited stops on route.
There will be dropping out points (not necessarily guided) and it is possible that the leader could ask you to leave the walk at one of these points if it is felt that completion within the required time was being compromised.
This years walk starts from Barmouth and leaves over Barmouth Bridge climbing up Cader Idris descending the Foxes Path to the George III and across the Mawddach at Penmaenpool to then ascend to the summit of Diffwys and back along the ridge to Barmouth.
Meet at the Dragon: 06:45
No Transport Required
