Moel Hebog dominates the view west from the village of Beddgelert and provides the basis for a fairly challenging walk into the mountains that offers great views. The path rises gently up past the ruins of the Welsh Highland Railway, old farm buildings across marshy ground (can be wet underfoot) and up to the base of the Moel Hebog ridge. A strenuous climb up a rocky path takes you to the summit with magnificent panoramic views. The return route passes below Moel yr Ogof and Ogof Owain Glyndwr (Cave) and down through forestry to the river and back to Beddgelert.
Meet at the Dragon Theatre: 08:30
