A varied, moderate walk of river gorge, woodland & open moorland, walking between the old nuclear power station of Trawsfynydd and the hydroelectric power station of Maentwrog
The Ceunant Llennyrch National Nature reserve runs from Trawsfynydd Lake to Maentwrog covering a large woodland & the spectacular steep Llennyrch gorge & stunning Afon Prysor waterfall. At one point, the river is flanked by 30m cliffs only 10m apart. The woodland has been there since the last Ice Age and is so deep in parts that it’s apparently untouched by humans.
