About Us

During the last 20 years Barmouth Walking Festival has been encouraging visitors to experience the beauty of South Eryri on foot, guided by experienced and knowledgeable leaders.

This year is no exception, offering a varied programme of walks ranging from a challenging all day hike to a walk for relaxation and mindfulness. This year also sees the return of the popular Photographic Walk and Workshop as well as our Woodland Trust walk.

Other Festival Events

We understand that after a hard day's walking, many of you appreciate the opportunity to get together with other walkers, friends and family. On offer this year, we have the brilliant Fish & Chip Supper, back by popular demand. This will also include an entertaining and informative talk by an expert, and author, on the local area.We will also be hosting an informal Reception for all Walkers, Buffet Meal with Murder Mystery, a Music Evening, starring Nashville group “Willow Hill” and a Curry Evening with slideshow provided by local photographer Helen Iles.See event list for details by clicking the ‘Book’ button at the top of this page.

Registration

Walkers meet at the “Carousal” Cafe at least 15 minutes before their walk departure time. Departure times are listed against each walk below. The cafe will open at 7.30 for the Festival so that walkers can take advantage of their superb cooked breakfasts as well as snacks and drinks for the day ahead.
